About this calculator

The Weight Calculator on NumberCals is a free, mobile-friendly tool for anyone needing to calculate weight (gravitational force) from mass and gravitational acceleration. includes presets for planets. Enter your values in the form below and the result is computed instantly — no sign-up, no installation, no waiting.

Formula used

W = m × g

What you'll need

  • Mass (kg) (e.g. 70)
  • Location
  • Custom g (m/s², if 'Custom' selected) (e.g. 9.81)

What you'll get

  • Weight (N)
  • Weight (kgf — kilograms-force)
  • Gravity used (m/s²)
Formula
W = m × g

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between mass and weight? +

Mass is how much matter you have (constant). Weight is the gravitational force on that mass (depends on g). You weigh ~6× less on the Moon, but your mass is identical.

What's kgf? +

Kilogram-force, an older unit equal to weight × g₀. 1 kgf ≈ 9.81 N. It's what bathroom scales display, even though they really measure force.
